A TRUE WALK AWAY SYSTEM
The SDI CA 480 is the newest random access analyzer for Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay to hit the US market. Over 400 laboratories throughout the world are currently running 480 tests per hour with this new bench-top analyzer. Stats can be processed within six minutes, without disrupting the routine testing.

COST EFFECTIVE
The SDI CA 480 assures a nonstop, continuous operation by automatically washing and drying reaction cuvettes, at the same time eliminating the laboratory's need for disposable cuvettes.

Its self-contained wash system is independent of outside expense or water sources, helping maintain a low-cost daily operation.

SPACE SAVING
The SDI CA 480 is sized like a bench-top analyzer, but performs like a floor model. Designed to save time and space, the analyzer includes a fully integrated user friendly Windows based software with point and click features, an incorporated ISE module, and is LIS ready with bi-directional interface already enabled.

TECHNILOGICALLY ADVANCED
Although most analyzers have a bar code reader for reagent identification, the SDI CA 480 Smart Bar Code feature allows you to continually add specialty reagents to the system while in operation.

An Ethernet interface allows for online diagnostic and service checks for assistance with troubleshooting and maintenance.

The analyzer cools reagents using a thermoelectric cooler causing a Peltier effect. Thermoelectric coolers have a limited amount of moving parts offering a high reliability, low noise performance, and low maintenance over other types of cooling devices. Thermoelectric coolers are also ecologically clean, no CFC, HCFC, or even HFC types of refrigerants are involved in the process.

Due to the cooling unit placement being on the bottom of the system, there is no condensation in the analyzer to ruin boards, which cuts down on service requests and part replacements.

TEST MENU
The SDI CA 480 offers the largest and most extensive menu of chemistry and specialty testing available on the market today. Up to 30 tests can be on the analyzer at one time with the ability to continually add new tests.

Additional testing features:

• Online reagents are individually cooled or left at room temperature.
• Displays online reagent inventory and number of tests available in each reagent container.
• Checks and controls reagent inventory and stability; flags missing or expired reagents.
• Holds 40 online primary tubes or sample cups with continuous sample loading and programming while in operation.
• Automatically repeats out of range results.
